For residential projects, we do the structural assessment after the array is planned out, so we determine if the roof can support the array. Local loading conditions like snow, wind, and seismic activity are included in the analysis.

Commercial

For commercial projects, we do the assessment before the array is planned out, so we first determine how much additional loading the structure can support (which can be much greater than a standard array). After the array is planned out, we do a second review for the array specifically. Local loading conditions like snow, wind, and seismic activity are included in the analysis.

Our structural engineers can also provide ballasting reviews and HVAC structural assessments.

The engineer assesses the project scope, including the type of solar project (residential or commercial. Then, one of our site technicians goes out to the project address and assesses the site conditions, existing structures, and any specific requirements or constraints.
