How to get Started With Solar Surveys
COMPLETE LEARNING MODULES
Once you confirm that you would like to work with us, we will send you an email with login information for our Online Learning Portal. Here, you will complete some basic online preparation for your first job:
Preparing for a Site Visit
Drone Survey
Electrical Survey
Attic Survey
Setting Availability for Site Surveys
Uploading Site Data
These courses will be sufficient for the majority of our projects when a 'Hybrid' or 'Hybrid-Plus' survey is required.
There are additional courses available to techs who will be completing ‘in-depth’ surveys with a larger scope:
When to Obtain a Floorplan
Flat Roofs, Pitch Changes, and Porches
Live-in Attics
Structural Background
These additional courses are for ‘Traditional’ or ‘In-depth’ Technicians. It is possible that Hybrid Technicians will take these courses in the future to better prepare themselves for surveys with a larger scope. The Exactus team will be in touch with you if you need to complete these additional courses.

COMPLETE A Practice survey
Before going on site for the first time, we will usually ask you to do a practice survey of your own, a relatives, or a friends home and submit the photos and checklist for review. Once we see that the learning modules are complete, we will reach out to schedule a practice survey.
This normally takes 30 - 40 minutes.
